We are a family owned, Egham based building maintenance and construction business, and celebrated our 50th anniversary in 2010. We pride ourselves on the personal and friendly service we deliver to all our customers, causing many people to return to us for our services time and again. All works were completed to a high standard and the new build was integrated very skilfully into the existing structure. Dave managed all the subcontractor work and buildings inspections to fit with his overall schedule and met our expectations on budget and timelines. All expenses were clearly documented and explained, any choices or changes in requirements were discussed in partnership and agreed in advance. All of his workers were friendly, punctual, polite and respectful that we remained living in the property during the majority of the construction work. We would have no hesitation in recommending R Hillier Builders to anyone, and have already given his details to local friends looking for building quotes. We are extremely happy with the finished result of his work, and if it were not for Dave's experience and skill in interpreting and developing the detailed plans, we would likely not have had such a successful outcome.

My wife and I immediately felt at ease with David and were confident that he understood our requirements and vision.     We have used R Hillier Builders since we bought our first house in 1984. David Hillier has probably, since that time, carried out every type of building service for us in respect of our properties, ranging from clearing drains to fitting bathrooms, creating shower rooms and building small extensions. We have always found him reliable, turning up when he says he is going to and staying with the job until it is finished – from friends I gather this is rare when dealing with builders! He has always taken the time to discuss things fully with us and to provide advice and options whenever needed. We have always found his work to be of a very high standard and have always been delighted with the results. We have also always been terribly impressed with how clean and tidy the site has been left at the end of each day and at the end of the job. There is nothing worse than coming home from work and having to clean up after workmen before you can do anything else. With R Hillier this has never happened. We would definitely recommend the firm to anyone and the fact that the firm were established in 1960 surely speaks for itself.
